Bio
As an innovator and lyricist from the south and west sides of Chicago, Big Scene is destined to be one of the greatest artists of all time. At an early age he overcame the harsh realities of his environment and learned the strategy behind self-promotion from his father, Killah C, of Chicago group Soldierz at War. Under his father’s guidance and music industry insights, Scene became immersed and skilled in the in’s and out’s of hip hop. With this extensive knowledge and drive for success, he developed his persona and brand as the rapper and artist that is Big Scene.
Big Scene is the embodiment of hard work. Overcoming the streets of Chicago, his work ethic has become the testimony that fuels his lyrics. In his music, not only does he touch on the tough realities of growing up in Chicago’s hoods, but he also promotes positivity and encourages others to see opportunities beyond their surroundings. Scene rose from a kid selling CDs on the street to a Digital Cinema professional and DePaul University graduate. He has used his background in both film and music to make his mark in entertainment. As a camera operator, his reel includes a plethora of work in all forms of media from feature films to some of your favorite television programs on networks such as MTV, VH1, Lifetime, Fox, and more; including The Rap Game, Black Ink Chicago, and The Real World Chicago.
A poet and painter on either side of the camera, Big Scene brings authenticity to all of his arts. Passion and talent is apparent in every new project and everything he stands for as an artist. As a rapper and storyteller his lyrics come alive, leaving the listener soulfully entertained. Whether it’s a track to bump in the car or thought-provoking words that can inspire the masses, Big Scene is primed to be one of the best in the game.
